Inspire Yoga Festival from 26 to 28 August 2022 in Verbier

Do you need some serenity with the mountain of files awaiting you this fall? We are sharing with you the program of the fourth edition of Inspire Yoga Festival at the last minute. For three days, this event combines yoga and self-discovery. The festival is designed for all levels and offers various courses, workshops but also therapies, all immersed in the magnificent nature of Verbier. On to the peaks!

The SwissPeaks Trail in the canton of Valais from August 28 to September 4, 2022

Note for the (very good) runners, the 5th edition of the SwissPeaks Trail offers its participants varied routes from the half marathon to the ultra trail of… 360 km! With its panoramas from the glacier to the lake, From Oberwald to Bouveret, this sporting event, clearly dedicated to running enthusiasts, still leaves room for people who want to come and admire the achievements.

Villars Rando Festival, from September 3rd to 4th, 2022

For the 15th anniversary of the festival, Villars is thinking big and offering around forty activities in the Vaud Alps. Hikers of all ages can count on the help of the mountain guides ASAM (Swiss Association of Mountain Guides) who will lead them through the Vaud Alps. The program includes a variety of activities such as “The writing workshop and the nature trail”, “Forest whispers: Sayings and sayings for fun” or “Alp, cheese, raclette with a drink” (25 Fr./pers.)… enough to to please the whole family.

Bike and Sound Festival in Champéry from September 9th to 11th, 2022

In September, Champéry hosts a free event that brings together different cycling disciplines and rock concerts. Led by the local Illiez Bike Club, the free event puts two wheelers in the spotlight. Open to all, the Wedge-Stuck World Championships – a no-foot-on-the-floor kind of bike battle – promises to be a spectacle! Mini bikers can also try their hand at the children’s race, which takes place in the enchanting surroundings of the Grand Paradis. Think of helmets and protectors!

JVAL Openair in Begnins from August 25th to 27th, 2022

This small, intimate contemporary music festival, created in 2005 and located in the pretty domain of Serreaux-Dessus in Begnins (VD), invites talents that we listen to on our Spotify playlists, such as Odezenne (Thursday evening). And what does JVAL mean? Do you understand ch’val, in good Vaudois. Check out their website for the full anecdote on the history of this name.

Les Digitales, from August 28 to September 11, 2022

We melt for the concept of this completely free music event that you can listen to from a lounge chair in a botanical garden, an urban park or even an old football stadium. With its exclusively electronic program, Les Digitales will run throughout the summer and line up its speakers on August 28, 2022 in Zurich, September 3, 2022 in Biel and September 10-11, 2022 in Fribourg. There are almost 70 in all live acts that will shape Swiss cities.

Queen Silent Disco in Montreux from September 2nd to 5th, 2022

In early September, Montreux hosts the Freddie Celebration Days, a generally free event. On the program are concerts, jam sessions, flash mobs, boat trips or surprise shows that will enliven the shores of the Riviera, but it is the Queen Silent Disco that captures our attention. On September 3rd, starting at 7 p.m., several DJs will be playing Queen’s big hits on their own channel next to the statue of Freddie Mercury. Is this real life? Is this just fantasy?

Le Chant du Gros, in Noirmont, from September 7th to 10th, 2022

To celebrate its 30th edition, the festival invites a rich program that mixes Mika, Kimberose, Baron.e, Sopico, Stéphane (the French singer, not Eicher), Jérémy Frerot or even Phanee de Pool. Four days of concerts that leave plenty of time to (re)discover the Noirmont region. Think of your little wool for the evenings at the end of September!

The Lausanne Festival (free!), which celebrates Swiss music and artists every two years, returns in mid-September. We look forward to Friday 16th September, Danitsa in the Docks, Flèche Love at Saint-François Church, Priya Ragu (and her Sri Lankan folk tunes) and Evelinn Trouble (a meeting between Thom Yorke and Patti Smith) at Village Label Suisse or the trio Elaena and their electro-jazz music at the D! Association.

Numbers games 2022 in Yverdon-les-Bains from August 26 to 28, 2022

At this start of the school year, in addition to the usual activities such as video games, virtual reality shows, arcade and pinball machines, cosplay competitions and workshops (conceived this year by universities such as HEAD-Geneva or ECAL), there will be an all-public festival that the Dedicated to digital art, this new edition will color with a musical dimension. Niki de Saint Phalle, in Zurich, from September 2, 2022

Until January 8, 2023, the Kunsthaus is showing a retrospective that brings together around one hundred works by the artist Niki de Saint Phalle. Assemblages from the artist’s early days, performance art, graphics, “Nanas”, “Garden of Tarots” or even large late sculptures… Fans of one of the greatest artists of the 20th century, who died in 2002, will be delighted by this large retrospective.

Time Machine (3D immersion) at Villa “Le Lac” in Vevey, until September 25, 2022

The concept of the time machine? Thanks to augmented reality technology, we travel an hour back in time and discover what the Villa “Le Lac” Le Corbusier (and its gardens) looked like between 1920 and 1960 – a masterpiece of modern architecture. “Using our time machine is safe and does not cause a break in the spatiotemporal continuum,” the website warns!

Food Zurich, Limmat and Zurich region, 8.-18. Sep 2022

In September, top chefs, gourmets and hobby cooks meet at several locations in the Zurich region to celebrate the latest culinary trends. On eleven festival days you can cook, garden, feast, taste and even cultivate yourself, because a hundred events around ten themes are on the program. These include in particular “women in gastronomy”, “plant-based nutrition” or “the resources of the planet”. Quite a (nice) program.
