The alpine film in the limelight
This year, as part of FIFAD, the Les Diablerets International Alpine Film Festival, which opens this Saturday, three cine-concerts in Creation will be offered at Les Diablerets Catholic Church: a film about the 1928 Olympic Games, voiced by Sara Oswald, with lyrics by Antoine Jaccoud; “Nanouk” about the Inuit in 1922 with the piano-clarinet duo Christian Leroy and Philippe Saucez; and the famous “Children’s Faces” filmed in Val d’Anniviers in 1923, accompanied by Yves Moulin on accordion.

Concerts at dawn
The association Thelonica, celebrating five years of Musiques à l’Aube this summer overlooking Lake Geneva, welcomes this Saturday Pier, at the Jetée de la Compagnie. After four albums under the patrone name and alongside collective projects with artists such as Sara Oswald and Emilie Zoé, Laure Betris became Pier. An immersive and intimate universe with a new repertoire in French and Chaldean.

Piano week in Saint-Légier
For his 33rde Edition welcomes renowned pianists to the International Piano and Chamber Music Week. To open the event, the Chilean pianist Edith Fischer, co-founder of the event, will give a song recital with works by Bach, Beethoven and Brahms. The audience then finds them again at the final evening dedicated to Schubert. Russian pianist Boris Berman, Brazilian cellist Matias de Oliveira Pinto and Hungarian pianist Peter Nagy will be there, as will Cédric Pescia from Lausanne.

Drive-in cinema in Cossonay
TCS Vaud and the Cinéma de Cossonay have been offering a screen not only under the stars, but also in your car for a number of years. The seventh edition starts this Thursday and there are still places for Saturday 13 August with “The Bad Boys”, the animated film by French director Pierre Perifel to enjoy with the family (allowed age 6 years, recommended age 8 Years).

The Croution Squad returns with Who Wants to Kill the Grand Vizier? This vizier, interpreted by Fabrice Bruchez, will demonstrate the extent of his abominable character in an oriental setting of 800m outdoors2. In the production, Olivier Duperrex takes the audience through a series of insane scenes, in the tradition of the comedy shows that have made the troupe so successful.
