Half-Life Alyx: Gameplay for the Levitation mod, fans will have to wait for Half-Life 3

Gaming News Half-Life Alyx: Gameplay for the Levitation mod, fans will have to wait for Half-Life 3

The PC Gaming Show ended with nearly eight minutes of gameplay from the fan-made mod for Half-Life Alyx titled Levitation. Planned for later this year, the mod adds a real extra campaign to an already successful game. What to wait for carefully before the unexpected Half-Life 3.

An ambitious project

At the time of its publication, Half-Life: Alyx immediately established itself as a reference title in virtual reality. The spin-off from Valve’s most famous license offered an immersive experience unlike any game had seen before, allowing you to once again immerse yourself in the fantastic universe of Half-Life, with an original story revolving around the character of Alyx .

If the base game is already a real success, it seems that fans have decided to enrich it further. It is definitely the ambition of FMPONE and CorredLaddo, modders well known to fans of Valve games. With Hover, The two modders want to offer Half-Life Alyx players a whole new experience. More than just a fan-made mod, Levitation is an additional campaign of almost five hours in which Alyx investigates a mysterious building floating in the air.

A long gameplay streak at the PC Gaming Show

As part of the PC Gaming Show held during Summer Game Fest, the team behind Levitation wanted to share their progress. As the images available above show, the mod is very clearly on the way. We can see Alyx with the Combine forces, but also the famous Headcrabs. G-Man, the mysterious interdimensional bureaucrat present in all works of the saga, also appears throughout the game’s eight minutes. Half-Life Alyx Levitation is slated for release this year and will be available for PC via the Steam Workshop.
