Where? In the Perle du Lac park
After a lighter 2021 edition entitled “Le CinéTransat secret”, the Geneva event will once again be at home at the Perle du lac for more than a month. Always adorned with huge karaoke and original themes, the film evenings offer great classics, such as Save Willy (16th of July), terminator (July 23) or Yes man (13 August). It will also be an opportunity to discover Italian feature films (Puoi baciare la sposa, on July 21) or the Japanese animation film Your Name (21 Aug). On our side we are happy to discover Mary Queen of Scots (11 August) with Saoirse Ronan and to review the romantic comedy about time (August 20) for the fifteenth time.
Free admission. Possibility to rent sun loungers at the price of 5 Fr.
Allianz cinema, in Geneva
When? From July 11th to September 4th
Where? On the Place du Port-Noir, between the new beach of Eaux-Vives and Genève Plage
If you’re itching to catch the latest movies under the stars, go for it! With a magnificent view of the lake (exceptional at sunset when the sky is padded with pink) you can explore Top Gun: Maverick (July 11 and 23) or the biopic elvis (3rd and 29th August) and Downton Abbey: A New Era (9 Aug). For children we will rather choose The Minions 2: Once Upon a Time Gru (13, 18 and 30 July or 21 and 30 August). When you consult the program, be sure to check the language of the film: the feature films are indeed shown on different dates, in VO or VF. Our personal favourite? The Duke, a brilliant British comedy to be screened on August 22, 2022.

Open air cinema in Plan-les-Ouates (GE)
When? From July 7th to August 26th
Where? In the park next to the town hall
Completely free, from entry to deckchairs (limited numbers available), this outdoor cinema has handpicked productions that are resolute feel wellwhich will particularly appeal to families: after Asterix: The Secret of the Magic Potion (July 7th) and the romance A star Is Born (July 23) the public can poke fun at the character of Jean Dujardin OSS 117: Red Alert in Sub-Saharan Africa (10 August) and vibrate with Norbert Scamander in Fantastic Beasts (26th of August).
Open-air cinema Rolle (VD)
When? From July 22 to August 21, 2022
Where? Palace Square, Grand Rue 1
The Rolle open-air cinema near the castle will set up its giant screen in a pleasant atmosphere, with space for almost 500 people per screening. Several new features such as‘A line (July 22) and Westside Story (12 August) meets classics such as The big pug (August 7th), The Spanish Inn (9 August) and Society of Dead Poets (5th of August). Deckchairs (6 Fr.) and camping chairs (5 Fr.) can also be rented for more comfort. Although admission is free, organizers ask audiences to arrive at least 30 minutes before the films start, which generally begins around 9:30 p.m. Various stands and food trucks will be present on site to satisfy the small hollows and other cravings for popcorn.
The open-air cinema of Vevey (VD)
When? From July 13 to August 13, 2022
Where? On Place Scanavin
Starting at 8pm, the event will feature terraces and lounges that can be privatized and a selection of films showing from 9:30pm for a full month of film festivities. The screen, placed in the pretty old town, will sit in front of 800 and come alive with different nuggets, new or classic. On July 20th it will be possible to discover The gray man, a Netflix production starring Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans. The new animated film buzz flash will also be shown on July 23, not to forget sand dunes (2 August) and elvis, (5th of August). In addition, this rich program announces some theme nights, including that of Japanese anime, with the masterpiece Princess Mononoketo be seen on Thursday 28 July.
The tickets cost 17 fr. per adult and 13 fr. per child, must be reserved in advance via the event website. “Tribe Packs” (maximum 2 adults, minimum 1 child) are sold at a price of 12 Fr. per person.
Les Bobines de Valency, in Lausanne (VD)
When? July 1st and 15th, then August 12th and 19th, 2022
Where? On the esplanade of the Parc de Valency
Over four memorable evenings, we can discover lesser-known feature films for free to broaden our horizons and spark our curiosity. On the program we find in particular the Dutch and German production My crazy week with Tessor even the Japanese animation film children of the sea. Each film is accompanied by an educational or creative workshop organized a few days before the screening at the Lausanne City Library for young people.
The drive-in cinema TCS Ciné in Cossonay (VD)
When? From August 11th to 13th, 2022
Where? At the TCS mobility center, Route de Dizy 4
For its 6th edition, the Cossonay drive-in cinema organized by TCS offers three brand new films to watch from our car. yes it feels Fat, without forgetting that this system allows the demonstrations to be held in any weather, since the sound is transmitted inside the vehicle via the radio. On the program we have a choice of French comedy retirement home (August 11), the famous Top Gun: Maverick (August 12) and caricature The Bad Boys (13 August), all three coming out in 2022. Drive-in cinema and food stalls open at 6:30pm, while films start at 8:45pm, when the sun goes down, leaving enough darkness to get the evening going at the movies.
Seats must be reserved in advance, at a price of 24 fr. per adult and 14 fr. per child up to 14 years.
Morning Open Air (VD)
When? From July 19 to September 4, 2022
Where? At the Castle of Morges
For the time being, only a few details have become known about the open-air cinema in Morges. But as in previous years, this 7th edition should offer the same cheerful and family atmosphere, with a fusion of novelty and essential cinema. We are monitoring the event’s website, where the program and ticket prices will be announced soon.
Waouh Open Air in Charmey (FR)
When? From August 2nd to 15th, 2022
Where? At the top of Vounetz
Dedicated to families, this outdoor cinema is organized in collaboration with the Club La Lanterne Magique. Admission is completely free and the shows start at 5 p.m. to accommodate the little ones. If the list of films is not yet known, do not hesitate to take a look at the event’s official website to await the release of the program!
Conthey makes his cinema (VS)
When? July 12
Where? Lombard Tower Square
If the first movie night scheduled for June 30th is already over, we can still look forward to the second date. Because the film planned for July 12, 2022 should cause laughter and giggles from 8:30 p.m.: It’s actually about that The cow, a French comedy starring Jamel Debbouze, Fatsah Bouyahmed and Lambert Wilson. Admission is free for everyone, while the snacks installed on site begin their activity at 7:30 p.m.

In a castle courtyard, on the edge of a lake or along the cobblestone streets of the old town, the screens of the open-air cinemas organized by Coop always nestle in very beautiful places. So we’re sure to have a lovely evening, waffle of popcorn in hand, eyes lifted to the stars. As every year, the program is rich in new releases (The Duke, Top Gun: Maverick, House of Gucci, Elvis…) and less new but unforgettable productions.
Tickets must be booked in advance and will vary slightly depending on the venue chosen.
