More specifically, WhatsApp can no longer be used on iPhone 5 and iPhone 5c from this date. This also applies to iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus with iOS 10 and iOS 11; except these iPhones can be updated to iOS 12. This is not the case with the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5c.
Separately, the company is already announcing in the WhatsApp Help Center that iPhone users must have iOS 12 or later to continue using the app. On their side theAndroid users must have a 4.1 (or newer) device to continue using the app after October 24, 2022, the group said.
